Momma Bear School Resources: What He Has and What’s to Come
In case you are new to following us, I thought I would take the time to introduce Momma Bear School Resources to you. As a former teacher wannabe, I missed lesson planning and resource creation, so since 2018/19 I have dabbled in creating lesson plans and resources for our girls. In 2020, I began creating and offering to others the things I have been making and using in our homeschool journey.
What Is Currently Available
I have a series of Christmas School Units available (5 total), and last year I began focusing more specifically on creating language arts items for my Simply Language Arts of resources line. Currently, Simply Language Arts offers Alternative Book Reports and Six Genre Units. I also have a few individual items that don’t quite fit those categories, but fall into the Language Arts umbrella. What Is To Come
I have some big creative goals for 2026 that I hope you all will be excited about as well.
I currently plan to extend my Genre Units by about 10-11 more units, building them together to provide a 1-2-year-long literature study curriculum. I also plan to add 1-page summary pages to the Doodle Notes already available and those planned for the upcoming units.
I am challenging myself to complete the Elements of Literature Units I started in 2022/23. I also hope to create a few more individual Language Arts Items, including another “Halloween”- themed family unit and an Edgar Allen Poe and Gothic Literature Unit.
I’m also going to begin an Independent Study Line of product, with the first being a Physical Education Independent Study. I hope to expand this into additional random independent studies, but that is not on the agenda for this year yet.
Lastly, for 2026, I plan to revamp our Santa Paws Christmas School Unit and make it more like the units I have been making the last few years: have the novel study separate, then create a project and an essay to accompany it in a bundle.
While I hope all of this will happen this year, I am realistic enough to understand that life happens and will get interrupted, and plans can and will change this year. So, If I don’t manage to get all of these launched this year, know that they are in the works and will be available as soon as time allows.
